Employer Award & Prince of Wales Award Cocktail Function
On the 22nd November this year, the Employer Award & Prince of Wales Award Cocktail Function was held at the ANZ Pavilion in Melbourne. Professor David de Kretser, Governor of Victoria, presented the awards for the evening. The winner of the Victoria Prince of Wales Awards for 2007 was Lieutenant Patricia Vitiaheer, Scientific Officer at 3 Health Support Battalion detachment in Oakleigh Barracks, and Captain Amelia Knapman, 2IC of Vickery Company, Melbourne University Regiment.

Sunshine state announces Employer Support Award Winners
Queensland has announced its Employer Support Award winners for 2007.
Legal firm Quinn and Scattini Lawyers, represented by Mr Damian Scattini, was presented an award for providing significant support to one of its solicitors, Captain Darrell Kake, a Reserve infantry officer at 25th/49th Battalion – The Royal Queensland Regiment.
The Queensland Police Academy at Oxley was presented an award for supporting 9th Battalion section commander and the 2007 Prince of Wales Award winner, Corporal Stephen Boddy. Senior Sergeant Shane Hancock, Officer in Charge of the Firearms and Officer Safety Training Unit, represented the Academy.

New South Wales Employers of ADF Reserves recognised
The New South Wales Fire Brigade has been recognised for its contribution to the Australian Defence Force Reserves. The NSW Fire Brigade has been presented with the State Employer of the Year Award at a ceremony onboard HMAS Melbourne, at Garden Island.

ACT Employer Support Awards
ACT Employers of ADF Reserves Recognised
Seven ACT employers have been recognised for their support of Defence Reserves Support at a ceremony tonight at the Australian Defence College, Weston Creek.
The event, organised in conjunction with the ACT Committee of the Defence Reserves Support Council, recognised employers who have supported their Reservist employees to enable them to perform Defence service.
The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Defence, Mr Peter Lindsay MP, presented the Employer Awards. He was joined by Chief of the Defence Force, Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston, National Vice-Chair of the Defence Reserves Support Council, Mr Jack Smorgon AO and Chairman of the ACT Committee, Mr Chris Peters, AM.
