ACT EMPLOYERS OF ADF RESERVES RECOGNISED
Seven ACT employers have been recognised for their support of Defence Reserves Support at a ceremony tonight at the Australian Defence College, Weston Creek.
The event, organised in conjunction with the ACT Committee of the Defence Reserves Support Council, recognised employers who have supported their Reservist employees to enable them to perform Defence service.
The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Defence, Mr Peter Lindsay MP, presented the Employer Awards. He was joined by Chief of the Defence Force, Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston, National Vice-Chair of the Defence Reserves Support Council, Mr Jack Smorgon AO and Chairman of the ACT Committee, Mr Chris Peters, AM.
